Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the impact of effectiveness of performance appraisal system on employees' performance. This is ascribed to the fact that the approach of performance appraisal is one of the administrative approaches in the field of human resources management. This approach may be used to improve performance, productivity, satisfaction of employee and customer and increasing organizational efficiency. Reaching the main aim of the study required a review of the previous studies, and three questions were examined. A survey was conducted on a study sample comprising the employee in all levels of management in private sector companies, Riyadh, which total (420) employees.The study employed descriptive research and statistical analysis methodologies, including desk and field research to acquire data through the survey, which constituted the primary data source. The study used the necessary tests to measure the validity and reliability of the study.After the testing of the study questions, the results showed that there is a relationship between effectiveness of performance appraisal system and employees' performance. Based on these results, certain recommendations were suggested.
